From Idea to Digital Platform
What are the key take-aways when starting to convert your idea into a digital platform?
1
Share Your Idea
There is no need to be secretive about your idea. Everyone can have a great idea but not everyone has the passion to convert it into an actual business. You are the expert and have the drive to bring that idea into the shape and form you think is best. Sharing your idea can only bring you more insights, potential partnerships, a wide network and prevent you (never entirely) from making decisions that you might not have thought of yourself. A good idea is about 90% implementation, hard work, and luck is 10%.
2
Identify Your User Needs
The success of your product relies on your users. Always put the user first and serve to their needs. When you map out your product make sure you cover each user journey in detail. The DRA method allows you to think of each step in this journey and the underlying needs your product should comply with.
3
Iterate, Iterate, Iterate
Set clear goals on what you want your business to stand for. But, keep in mind – your idea(s), user needs and scope will change over time. Be flexible enough in your product development and mind to build a framework that can divert when your company develops but always keep your eyes on the ball – your business objective in this case.
